Features

Current Measurement

  • Four current measurement channels (supporting two ASIL D current measurements)
  • One precise measurement branch and one fast measurement branch per channel
  • Shunt temperature drift compensation based on an external temperature sensor
  • Overcurrent detection (OD) (threshold, di/dt calculation and melting fuse emulation)

Precise Voltage Measurement

  • Two independent precision voltage measurement channels
  • Clock-cycle-accurate synchronization with current measurements

General-Purpose Measurement

  • Two independent sets of eight measurement inputs
  • Multiplexed with 2 x 8 GPIOs

Event Manager

  • Configurable decision engine to assess measurement inputs and trigger reactions
  • Set of event signals (e.g., high di/dt, overcurrent, overvoltage and overtemperature)
  • Triggering reactions (e.g., pyrotechnic switch controller, MCU wake-up and GPIOs)

Pyrotechnic Switch Controller (PSC)

  • Two independent controllers including driver stage
  • AK-LV 16 (2012-07) compliant
  • Rapid triggering by the event manager without MCU processing
  • Extensive set of diagnostics (diagnostic current, capacitor measurement, equivalent series resistance [ESR] measurement, etc.)

Communication

  • SPI controller host interface and inter-integrated circuit (I²C) host interface
  • MCU host controller supporting SPI or transformer physical layer, second generation (TPL2)

EIS

  • Integrated single-frequency discrete Fourier transform (DFT) calculation
  • Synchronization between host clock and cell measurement
  • Synchronized 50% duty cycle GPIO output for EIS excitation
