The MPC5748G-GW-RDB is a reference design board engineered for providing A-sample like Ethernet Gateway ECU, supporting secure over-the-air (OTA) management and functional safety to help accelerate gateway products development and production.

Based on the 32-bit Power Architecture® MPC5748G ultra-reliable microcontroller, the MPC5748G-GW-RDB offers up to three e200 cores, hardware security module (HSM), several communication interfaces, and flexible memory options.

  • Support secure OTA management with 4 GB eMMC onboard

  • 32-bit MCU featuring dual Power Architecture® e200z4 cores @ 160 MHz and a single Power Architecture e200z2 core @ 80 MHz
  • 6 MB embedded flash, 768 KB SRAM
  • 8x CAN FD (12x w/SPI expansion), 2x FlexRay, 7x LIN
  • 2x AVB Ethernet (w/switch)

  • 4 x 100Base-T1 Ethernet
  • 1 x 100Base-TX Ethernet for Diagnosis (DoIP) / Software Update
  • 8 x CAN/CAN FD (up to 5 Mbps)
  • 2 x FlexLIN / 1 x RS232
  • 3 x PWM / 2 x Analog Inputs / 2 x High-side Switch Out
  • JTAG Debug

  • AUTOSAR OS and MCAL
  • S32 SDK Bare-metal

Functional Safety

  • ISO 26262 up to ASIL B and AEC-Q100 Grade 2 MPC5748G MCU
  • ISO 26262 up to ASIL B S32K144 as sub-MCU (raising raise ASIL level of this RDB)
  • ISO 26262 up to ASIL D Safety power SBC with configurable and programmable outputs to power the core processor and a wide range of peripherals
  • ISO 26262 up to ASIL A and AEC-Q100 Grade 2 SJA1105Q 5-ports Layer 2 store and forward Ethernet switch, each configurable as MII, RMII, RGMII. Supporting AVB, TSN and Deterministic Ethernet. Also, port mirroring and VLAN
  • Fully automotive qualified TJA1100 and TJA1102 Ethernet PHY, 100 Mbps OABR PHY with robust automotive grade EMC/ESD
  • TJA1043 and TJA1044GT CAN PHY supporting up to 5 Mbps CAN FD with Sleep/Wakeup Function
  • Embedded Hardware Security Module (HSM), supporting SHE and EVITA standards
  • Fault management and reset logic circuits
