The FS0400SKTEVM is the socketed evaluation board (EVB) for the FS04 Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC). It integrates a 64‑pin quad flat no‑lead (QFN) socket that allows users to easily insert and test FS04 devices. The board also includes a communication bridge based on the FRDM‑KL25Z development platform, enabling seamless connection to the FS04 graphical user interface (GUI) software to configure the device and program the one‑time programmable (OTP) registers.

The FS0400SKTEVM contains all the hardware required to functionally evaluate FS04 configurations before performing the final OTP programming, making it ideal for development, validation and pre‑production testing.

  • Pre-regulator voltage (VPRE) output 3.3 V-5.3 V, up to 20 A
  • Boost voltage (VBOOST) output 4.5 V-5.5 V, up to 1A
  • BUCK1 and BUCK2 output 1.0 V-1.8 V, up to 2.5A
  • BUCK3 and BUCK4 output 0.4 V-1.8 V, up to 2.5A
  • LDO1 output 1.0 V-4.1 V, up to 400mA

General Specifications

  • Battery switch and ideal diode
  • General-purpose input/output (GPIOs)
  • Safety pins: power good (PGOOD), fail-safe output 0 (FS0B), reset bar (RSTB), fault collection and control unit (FCCU) and power-on reset request (POR_REQ)
  • Standby pins for low-power mode

Components

  • LEDs that indicate signal or regulator status
  • QFN-64 non-soldered socket, enabling functional testing and programming of multiple devices (due to socket limitations, all output current should be limited to a maximum of 1 A)
