The secure CAN demonstrator shows the security features of NXP TJA115x secure CAN transceivers. This includes the authentication of local CAN network communication with the transceiver’s pass and block list for CAN IDs.
The TJA115x transceivers help prevent an ECU flooding the CAN bus with user-configurable thresholds for allowed local host traffic. The secure CAN transceiver family provides a standalone and cost-effective solution for securing classical CAN and CAN FD communication without cryptography.
