Readme - NXP Antenna design tools for the PN5180 antenna design

1. DOCUMENT PURPOSE:
	This document describes the content of the NXP antenna design tools package and how to use.

2. DESCRIPTION:
	This document describes how to use the NXP antenna design tools 

3. RESTRICTIONS & requirements
 	a) The RFSIM99 can be downloaded from http://www.electroschematics.com/835/rfsim99-download/
        b) The TX shaping per gear require a calibrated DPC antenna tuning.

5. PACKAGE CONTENTS:
    a) NXP NFC Reader Antenna Tuning.xls
          Calculation of the matching and tuning components for an NFC Reader antenna, including a makro for RFSIM99
    b) PN5180 PCD AWC-DRC Configuration.xlsx
          Calculation of the TX Shaping per gear for the DPC antenna.
	  Calculation of the dynamic receiver settings per gear.
	  The DRC is related to the PN5180 FW 4.0 or higher.
	  The NFC Cockpit provides a UI to adjust and edit the AWC & DRC LUT, too.
    
6. MANDATORY MATERIALS, not included:
    a) PNEV5180B 2.0 or higher 
       The PN5180 evaulation board version 2.0 or higher
    b) USB mini or USB micro cable
    c) DC power supply (7.5V)
    d) NFC Cockpit 4.8 or higher
    e) PN5180 documentation (datasheet & application notes)

9. STEPS TO FOLLOW:
NXP NFC Reader Antenna Tuning.xls
	Step 1: Unzip and open the Excel file
	Step 2: Download and install RFSIM99
	Step 3: Locate the target folder of RFSIM99 in the Excel file
	Step 4: Calculate matching & tuning values
    Step 5: Start simulation

PN5180 PCD AWC-ARC Configuration.xlsx
	Step 1: Unzip and open the Excel file.
	Step 2: Enter the AWC and / or DRC settings as required.
	Step 3: Read the PCD_AWC_DRC_LUT_SIZE and store into EEPROM adr. 0x97.
	Step 4: Read the PCD_AWC_DRC_LUT and store the string into EEPORM 0x98 and following.
