Functional Safety Software

NXP's safety software options provide components that help establish the functional safety foundations of customers' applications. These software components help enable ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or IEC 60730 system compliance.

It is developed in compliance with at least one of the safety standards development processes to accelerate time-to-market of customers' applications.

Software by Safety Standard

ISO 26262

S32 Safety Software is developed according to an ISO 26262 compliant development process. The software components focus on supporting all automotive safety integrity levels (up to ASIL D) and accelerate time-to-market of customers' functional safety applications. It is composed of three pillars:

S32 Safety Software Framework (SAF) and Safety Peripheral Drivers (SPD)

Structural Core Self-Test (SCST)
IEC 60730

The IEC 60730 safety standard defines the test and diagnostic methods that ensure the safe operation of embedded control hardware and software for household appliances.
